What is Odisha Mission Shakti SHG?
Mission Shakti is Odisha's world-renowned women empowerment programme and Self-Help Group (SHG) network — one of the largest in India. Over 70 lakh women across 7 lakh SHGs are members. Mission Shakti provides: microfinance loans ₹1 lakh to ₹5 lakh via Bank-SHG linkage, enterprise grant up to ₹25,000 (non-repayable) for income-generating activities, skill training, market linkages, and legal empowerment. Mission Shakti SHGs manage 50,000+ community shops (Mamata Canteen, school kitchens, ration distribution). Senior SHG federations get management contracts worth crores.
