What is Odisha Biju Pucca Ghar?
Biju Pucca Ghar Yojana (BPGY) is Odisha's state housing scheme providing free pucca (RCC) houses to BPL families who lost homes in cyclones, floods, or fires, and to houseless BPL families not covered under PMAY-G. Benefit: ₹1.30 lakh per unit (state funds) for a 2-room pucca house with toilet and electricity. The scheme is named after late CM Biju Patnaik. Distinct from PMAY-G — covers residual BPL households. Beneficiaries identified by Gram Panchayat + revenue officials. Apply through Block Development Office or Gram Panchayat. 10 lakh+ houses constructed under BPGY.
