What is Odisha Mo School Abhiyan?
Mo School Abhiyan (My School Campaign) is Odisha government's innovative community-participation scheme launched in 2017, allowing alumni and well-wishers to contribute to improvement of government schools in their home districts. Alumni register on moschool.odisha.gov.in, pledge contributions, and track how funds improve their school — new classrooms, labs, libraries, sports facilities, toilets, drinking water, smart classrooms. Government matches 10-25% on top of alumni contribution (alumni get 80G tax exemption). Over ₹200 crore raised by 2.5 lakh+ alumni contributors. 5,000+ schools improved. Also benefits current students through improved infrastructure.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive Improved school infrastructure (labs, library, smart classes, sports) + Govt matching contribution — for students in 5,000+ Odisha govt schools. The scheme was launched in 2017 and is implemented by the Government of Odisha.
