About this farmer scheme
Nagaland Coffee and Horticulture Support Scheme provides 50% subsidy on cultivation of high-value crops including Arabica coffee, pineapple, ginger, kiwi, passion fruit, and king chilli (Bhut Jolokia) under Nagaland's 100% organic farming policy. The scheme is implemented jointly by the Agriculture Department, Horticulture Department, and Coffee Board of India. Organic certification support is provided through the Participatory Guarantee System (PGS) at no cost to the farmer. All tribal land certification is done through Village Council, which serves as the official land record authority in Nagaland.
