What is J&K Social Security Pension?
J&K Social Welfare Department provides monthly social security pensions combining central IGNOAPS/IGNWPS/IGNDPS + J&K state top-up to eligible senior citizens, widows, and persons with disabilities in J&K. (1) Old Age Pension (IGNOAPS + state): ₹1,000/month for BPL age 60-79; ₹1,500/month for 80+; (2) Widow Pension (IGNWPS + state): ₹1,000/month for destitute widows 40-79; (3) Disability Pension (IGNDPS + state): ₹1,000/month for 80%+ disabled; (4) J&K SPARSH portal for pension management. Over 5 lakh beneficiaries across J&K. Apply at Tehsildar/Block Development Office.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive ₹1,000-₹1,500/month pension for senior citizens, widows, and disabled in J&K. The scheme was launched in 2011 and is implemented by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir.
