What is JK SC/ST/OBC Post-Matric Scholarship?
Jammu & Kashmir provides Post-Matric Scholarships to SC, ST, and OBC students domiciled in J&K: Full tuition fee reimbursement + ₹230-₹1,200/month maintenance allowance (day scholar/hosteller) for Class 11 to PhD. Additionally, the J&K government provides a state component for OBC scholarship beyond the central scheme. Around 1.5 lakh J&K students benefit annually. Apply through National Scholarships Portal (scholarships.gov.in) between July-November.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive Full tuition fee + ₹230–₹1,200/month for SC/ST/OBC J&K students Class 11 to PhD. The scheme was launched in 2008 and is implemented by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir.
