What is Haryana Old Age Samman Allowance?
Haryana Old Age Samman Allowance (also called Vriddhawastha Samman Bhatta) is Haryana Government's monthly pension scheme for senior citizens aged 60 years and above. The pension amount is ₹3,000 per month (enhanced in 2023 from earlier ₹2,500/month). The scheme is universal in nature — it covers all senior citizens in Haryana with annual family income up to ₹3 lakh per year. The amount is transferred directly to the beneficiary's Aadhaar-linked bank account every month via DBT. Over 22 lakh senior citizens receive this pension in Haryana. Applications are processed through the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) system and Antyodaya Saral Kendra.
