What is POSHAN Abhiyaan 2.0?

Mission Saksham Anganwadi and POSHAN 2.0 is India's flagship nutrition programme — one of the world's largest — bringing together ICDS Anganwadi Services, Supplementary Nutrition Programme, the original POSHAN Abhiyaan, the Scheme for Adolescent Girls, and the National Crèche Scheme. POSHAN 2.0 covers nearly 9 crore beneficiaries through 14 lakh+ Anganwadi Centres across India. Beneficiaries include pregnant women, lactating mothers, children below 6 years, and adolescent girls (14–18 years). The Poshan Tracker app (launched March 2021) provides near real-time data on Anganwadi attendance, ECCE activities, growth monitoring, and home visits. Mission POSHAN 2.0 received ₹21,960 crore in the Union Budget 2025–26 and is a key intervention to address stunting, wasting, and anaemia among India's vulnerable populations.
