What is IPOP Senior Citizens?
Integrated Programme for Older Persons (IPOP), launched in 1992 and renamed as 'Atal Vayo Abhyuday Yojana (AVYAY)' in 2020, is a central sector scheme of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment providing grant-in-aid to Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), State Governments, Panchayati Raj Institutions, and Local Bodies for various services targeting senior citizens (aged 60+ years).
