What is Manipur PMJDY Financial Inclusion?
Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) in Manipur provides zero-balance bank accounts to unbanked individuals with a RuPay debit card, ₹2 lakh accident insurance (enhanced from ₹1 lakh), and ₹10,000 overdraft facility after 6 months of satisfactory account operation. The scheme aims to bring every unbanked household in Manipur — especially in remote hill districts (Senapati, Tamenglong, Chandel, Ukhrul) — into the formal financial system.
