What is Manipur Krishi Input Subsidy?
Manipur farmers benefit from PM-KISAN (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi) providing ₹6,000 per year in three installments of ₹2,000 each, directly to their Aadhaar-linked bank accounts. In addition, the Manipur State Agriculture Department provides 50% subsidy on certified seeds (paddy/rice, maize, vegetable, ginger) and bio-fertilizers. Ginger, which is a major cash crop in Manipur's hill districts, receives special input support. The combined scheme supports small and marginal farmers across Manipur's valley and hill cultivation zones.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive PM-KISAN ₹6,000/year + 50% subsidy on certified seeds and bio-fertilizers for Manipur farmers. The scheme was launched in 2019 and is implemented by the Government of Manipur.
