What is Manipur Antyodaya Food Security (AAY/NFSA)?
Under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) 2013, Manipur BPL families under the Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) category receive 35 kg of rice per family per month at ₹3 per kg and wheat at ₹2 per kg from Fair Price Shops (FPS). Priority Household (PHH) beneficiaries receive 5 kg per person per month at the same subsidised rates. Manipur's food distribution covers all 16 districts through the Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department. The one-nation-one-ration card system allows portability across states. AAY cards are issued to the poorest of the poor families identified through Gram Sabha / Ward Committee.
