What is CM SAKSHAM Yojana Manipur?
CM SAKSHAM (Skill Acquisition & Knowledge Awareness for Manpower) Yojana is a flagship skill development and employment initiative run by the Department of Labour & Employment, Government of Manipur. Its goal is to make unemployed local youth job-ready through structured vocational training and then guide them into placement. Eligible candidates aged 18 to 35 who enrol in an approved skill training centre, ITI, or polytechnic receive a monthly stipend of ₹6,000 throughout their training and placement period, transferred straight to an Aadhaar-linked bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Training spans high-demand trades such as IT, healthcare, construction, hospitality, manufacturing, beauty and wellness, and agri-based work, helping young people in both hill and valley districts build sustainable livelihoods.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive ₹6,000/month stipend during skill training and placement period. The scheme was launched in 2018 and is implemented by the Government of Manipur.
