What is MP Pratibha Kiran/Saraswati Sadhana?
Madhya Pradesh Pratibha Kiran Yojana provides ₹5,000/year scholarship to meritorious girl students of BPL families who scored 60%+ in 12th and pursue higher education in MP. Saraswati Sadhana Yojana provides free bicycle to 6th-8th class SC/ST girls living 2+ km from school. Together aim: enable girls' education by removing fees & travel barriers. ~10 lakh girls benefited annually.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive ₹5,000/year scholarship (Pratibha Kiran) + Free cycle (Saraswati Sadhana) for MP girls. The scheme was launched in 2009 and is implemented by the Government of Madhya Pradesh.
