What is Seekho Kamao Yojana?
The Mukhyamantri Seekho Kamao Yojana is Madhya Pradesh's earn-while-you-learn skilling programme, launched in 2023 to bridge the gap between classroom education and real industry experience. Unemployed youth aged 18 to 29 are placed with registered companies and establishments across more than 700 work areas — from manufacturing and IT to hospitality and healthcare — where they train on the job for up to a year. During training they earn a monthly stipend of ₹8,000 to ₹10,000, scaled by qualification, paid partly by the state directly to the trainee's bank account.
