What is NAMO Saraswati Yojana?
Gujarat NAMO Saraswati Vigyan Saadhana Yojana provides ₹10,000 financial assistance to girl students who opt for Science stream in Class 11 in Gujarat government schools, to promote STEM education among girls. The scheme is aimed at girls studying in Gujarat government or government-aided schools who choose the Science stream after passing Class 10, easing the cost of Science education and encouraging more girls to continue into higher Science studies. The assistance is paid directly into the girl student's own bank account.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive ₹10,000 financial assistance for girl students opting Science in Class 11. The scheme was launched in 2024 and is implemented by the Government of Gujarat.
