What is CG Yuva Suchna Kranti (CYSKY)?
Chhattisgarh Yuva Suchna Kranti Yojana (CYSKY) is the state's free laptop & tablet distribution scheme launched in 2013 by the Department of Technical Education and Higher Education. Eligible final-year undergraduate and postgraduate students in Chhattisgarh's government and recognized institutions — engineering, medical, arts, science, commerce — receive a FREE LAPTOP OR TABLET. Operated by CHIPS (Chhattisgarh Infotech & Biotech Promotion Society). No formal application required — institutions auto-nominate students based on enrollment records. Each student gets the device only ONCE in their academic life. A separate Sanchar Kranti component distributes FREE SMARTPHONES + SIM CARDS to BPL students under an Rs 900 crore allocation covering 45 lakh smartphones. Re-launched / revived under the current BJP government with a fresh roll-out for 2024-25 onwards.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive FREE laptop OR tablet to final-year UG/PG students at Chhattisgarh government/recognized institutions + Free smartphones (under Sanchar Kranti) to BPL students. The scheme was launched in 2013 and is implemented by the Government of Chhattisgarh.
