Meghalaya Basin Development Authority (MBDA) Enterprise Scheme provides ₹50,000–₹3 lakh seed funding to tribal entrepreneurs organized through SHGs in Khasi Hills, Jaintia Hills, and Garo Hills. MBDA's integrated approach links watershed management with livelihoods — supporting enterprises in agriculture value addition, bamboo processing, dairy (Garo cattle), fisheries (rivers and jheel fishing), horticulture, eco-tourism, and traditional handicrafts. Meghalaya MBDA Enterprise Scheme Eligibility

Permanent Meghalaya tribal resident (Khasi/Jaintia/Garo), MBDA SHG member, eligible enterprise sector, income below ₹3 lakh, MBDA CRP registration, willing to attend training and monitoring.

  • Bank passbook (Aadhaar-linked, SHG account preferred)
  • Income Certificate (below ₹3 lakh)

  • Village Council / Dorbar Shnong / Nokma endorsement letter

How to Apply for Meghalaya MBDA Enterprise Scheme?

Join MBDA SHG through Block Development Officer or CRP → attend enterprise planning meetings → prepare enterprise proposal → submit to MBDA Block/District office → field appraisal → enterprise seed fund released in phases to SHG account.
