What is Meghalaya CM Youth Vocational Training?

Chief Minister's Vocational Training Scheme offers Meghalaya youth — especially Khasi, Jaintia, and Garo tribal youth from rural areas — free skill training in trades like IT, hospitality, construction, healthcare, retail, and traditional crafts, along with a ₹3,000/month stipend during the training period. Training is conducted at ITIs, polytechnics, and empanelled skill centres. Placement assistance is provided after course completion to help trainees find jobs or start small businesses.

Meghalaya CM Youth Vocational Training Eligibility

Permanent Meghalaya resident, age 18–35, minimum Class 8 pass, unemployed, Aadhaar-linked bank account. Priority to tribal (Khasi/Jaintia/Garo) and BPL youth.

How to Apply for Meghalaya CM Youth Vocational Training?

Visit the nearest ITI, polytechnic, or empanelled skill training centre in Meghalaya. Alternatively, visit the District Skill Development Office or the Skill Development, Entrepreneurship & Technical Education Department. Submit Aadhaar, domicile certificate, educational certificate, and bank passbook. Stipend of ₹3,000/month is disbursed via DBT.
