Samagra Gram Uday scheme brings integrated rural infrastructure — all-weather roads (myntdu ki wah synteng in Khasi), piped drinking water (Jal Jeevan Mission), solar and grid electrification, and sanitation — to unconnected villages in Khasi Hills, Jaintia Hills, and Garo Hills. Village Councils (Dorbar Shnong in Khasi areas; Nokma-led Village Defence Parties in Garo areas) are the primary community partners for identifying needs and monitoring work. Entire villages benefit collectively — no individual application needed. Contact your Block Development Officer (BDO) or District Planning Committee.

Meghalaya Samagra Gram Uday Eligibility

Resident of an unconnected or underserved village in Meghalaya. No individual application needed. Village Council (Dorbar Shnong or Nokma council) initiates the demand with the BDO and District Planning Committee.

How to Apply for Meghalaya Samagra Gram Uday?

Village communities should pass a resolution through the Dorbar Shnong (Khasi/Jaintia areas) or Nokma-led Village Council (Garo areas) identifying infrastructure gaps. Submit the resolution to the Block Development Officer (BDO). The BDO forwards it to the District Planning Committee for inclusion in the Samagra Gram Uday project list. Central scheme convergence (Jal Jeevan Mission, PM-Saubhagya, PMGSY) provides funding.
