What is Meghalaya FOCUS Urban Scheme?

Meghalaya FOCUS (Focusing on Outcomes for Comprehensive Urban Schemes) delivers integrated urban improvements — roads, drainage, solid waste management, street lighting, public markets, and PMAY-Urban affordable housing — to residents of Shillong, Tura, Jowai, Nongstoin, Williamnagar, and other Meghalaya municipal towns. Urban slum dwellers and tribal urban communities are priority beneficiaries. For housing: BPL/EWS households can access PMAY-Urban subsidy of up to ₹2.5 lakh through the Municipal Board. Street vendors can access PM SVANidhi working capital loans. Contact your Ward Councillor or Urban Affairs Department for project updates.

Resident of Meghalaya Municipal Board area. Housing: BPL/EWS without pucca house. Vendors: ULB-registered street traders. Infrastructure benefits: all municipal residents automatically covered.
