What is A&N Women SHG Empowerment Scheme?
The Andaman & Nicobar Women Self-Help Group (SHG) Empowerment Scheme provides a seed revolving fund of ₹10,000 per SHG group and 0% interest loans of up to ₹1 lakh to registered women SHGs in the islands. The scheme is implemented by the Women & Child Development Department, A&N Administration. SHGs can further access bank-linked credit under the DAY-NRLM / SRLM framework. The scheme promotes women entrepreneurship, financial independence, and group-based livelihood activities across all inhabited islands.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive ₹10,000 seed revolving fund + up to ₹1 lakh 0% interest loan for women SHGs in A&N Islands. The scheme was launched in 2013 and is implemented by the Government of Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

अंडमान और निकोबार महिला एवं बाल विकास विभाग पंजीकृत महिला SHGs को ₹10,000 seed revolving fund और ₹1 लाख तक 0% ब्याज ऋण देता है। 6 माह की नियमित बचत के बाद SHG पात्र हो जाती है। DAY-NRLM के अंतर्गत bank-linked credit भी उपलब्ध है। यह योजना द्वीपों पर महिला उद्यमिता और आर्थिक स्वतंत्रता को बढ़ावा देती है।
