About this loan / financial scheme
The Andaman & Nicobar Fishermen's Development Scheme provides financial assistance of up to ₹1 lakh as a capital subsidy on the purchase of mechanised fishing boats and modern fishing equipment to registered fishermen in the Union Territory. The scheme also covers subsidy on outboard motors, fishing nets, ice boxes, and safety equipment. Eligible fishermen can avail bank loans at concessional rates for the balance amount. The scheme is administered by the Fisheries Department of the A&N Administration and funded under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) and UT-level fisheries development funds.

अंडमान और निकोबार मत्स्यपालन विकास योजना के तहत पंजीकृत मछुआरों को मैकेनाइज्ड नाव, आउटबोर्ड मोटर, जाल और बर्फ बक्सों पर ₹1 लाख तक की पूंजी सब्सिडी दी जाती है। शेष राशि के लिए रियायती बैंक ऋण भी उपलब्ध है।

पात्रता:
A&N द्वीपसमूह में वैध मछली पकड़ने का लाइसेंस धारक — न्यूनतम 5 वर्ष का स्थायी निवासी — वार्षिक आय ₹3 लाख से कम — पिछले 5 वर्षों में नाव/उपकरण सब्सिडी नहीं मिली हो।

fisheries.andaman.gov.in पर जाएं या पोर्ट ब्लेयर में मत्स्य पालन विभाग कार्यालय जाएं। वैध मछली पकड़ने का लाइसेंस, डोमिसाइल प्रमाण, सहकारी सदस्यता प्रमाण, आय प्रमाण, नाव खरीद का उद्धरण और आधार-लिंक्ड बैंक पासबुक साथ लाएं।

Who can borrow or apply
- ✓ Registered fisherman holding a valid fishing licence in Andaman & Nicobar Islands
- ✓ Permanent resident of A&N Islands (minimum 5 years)

- ✓ Annual income below ₹3 lakh from all sources
- ✓ Not having availed any boat/gear subsidy in the previous 5 years
