About this health scheme
The Andaman & Nicobar Islands Tribal Welfare Scheme provides comprehensive support to the Scheduled Tribe communities of the islands — including the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) such as the Onge, Shompen, Jarwa, and Great Andamanese. Under the scheme, eligible ST families receive free pucca housing, free education with boarding facilities for tribal children, free healthcare at dedicated tribal health centres, and monthly food subsidy. पात्रता:
A&N द्वीपसमूह के ST सदस्य या PVTG — A&N प्रशासन द्वारा जारी वैध ST प्रमाण पत्र — अधिसूचित जनजातीय क्षेत्रों में निवास — मकान के लिए: किसी सरकारी योजना से पक्का मकान पहले से नहीं होना चाहिए।

Who is covered
- ✓ Scheduled Tribe (ST) member or Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) resident of Andaman & Nicobar Islands
- ✓ Must possess a valid ST certificate issued by the A&N Administration
- ✓ Residing in designated tribal habitats or notified areas
- ✓ For housing benefit: must not already have a pucca house constructed under any government scheme
- ✓ Children of eligible ST families automatically qualify for free education and healthcare benefits
