National Safai Karamcharis Finance & Development Corporation (NSKFDC), set up on 24 January 1997 under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, is a 'Not for Profit' Government of India company that serves as the Apex Corporation for socio-economic upliftment of Safai Karamcharis, Scavengers, and their dependents across India. NSKFDC operates the Self Employment Scheme for Rehabilitation of Manual Scavengers (SRMS) under the Prohibition of Employment as Manual Scavengers and their Rehabilitation Act, 2013 — providing ₹3.25 lakh one-time cash subsidy plus concessional loans for alternative livelihood. What does PMJJBY cover?+
It covers death due to any cause. Rs.2 lakh is paid to the nominee in case of the policyholder's death during the policy year.
