How to Apply for KVPY (Discontinued — See INSPIRE) Online?

  1. 1Note that KVPY is discontinued since 2022 — do not attempt to register for a fresh KVPY application.
  2. 2If you are an existing KVPY fellow, keep submitting your fellowship ID, Aadhaar, and course bonafide certificate to your institute each year.
  3. 3Existing fellows continue receiving ₹5,000-₹7,000/month plus annual contingency for the rest of their course, with no new application needed.
  4. 4New aspirants should instead go to online-inspire.gov.in and apply for the INSPIRE Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE).
  5. 5Prepare equivalent academic and identity documents on the INSPIRE portal as were previously required for KVPY.
  6. 6Selected INSPIRE scholars receive up to ₹80,000/year, the scheme that has replaced the discontinued KVPY benefit.
