About this infrastructure programme
The LAHDC Border Area Development Scheme (BADS) provides targeted infrastructure development and employment support to villages situated within 50 km of the international border in Ladakh UT. The scheme funds construction of rural roads, community halls, water supply systems, and solar energy installations in border villages of Leh and Kargil districts. Under the employment component, local youth are engaged as paid workers in scheme construction activities, providing seasonal wage income. The scheme is funded by the Ministry of Home Affairs under the Border Area Development Programme (BADP) and implemented by LAHDC.

LAHDC बॉर्डर एरिया डेवलपमेंट स्कीम अंतरराष्ट्रीय सीमा से 50 किमी के भीतर के लद्दाख के गांवों में सड़क, पानी, सौर ऊर्जा और सामुदायिक हॉल का निर्माण कराती है। साथ ही स्थानीय युवाओं को निर्माण कार्य में रोजगार दिया जाता है।

LAHDC बॉर्डर एरिया डेवलपमेंट स्कीम (BADS) अंतरराष्ट्रीय सीमा से 50 किमी के भीतर लद्दाख के गांवों में बुनियादी ढांचा विकास और रोजगार सहायता प्रदान करती है। ग्रामीण सड़क, सामुदायिक हॉल, पेयजल आपूर्ति और सौर ऊर्जा प्रतिष्ठान का निर्माण किया जाता है। स्थानीय युवाओं को निर्माण कार्यों में भुगतान वाले श्रमिक के रूप में मौसमी मजदूरी रोजगार मिलता है।

पात्रता:
लद्दाख में अंतरराष्ट्रीय सीमा से 50 किमी के भीतर के गांवों के निवासी — रोजगार घटक के लिए 18-40 वर्ष के बॉर्डर गांव के युवा — गांव BADP स्वीकृत सूची में होना चाहिए।
अर्ज कसा करावा:
lahdc.nic.in पर जाएं या LAHDC कार्यालय (लेह/कारगिल) से संपर्क करें। निवास प्रमाण, लद्दाख डोमिसाइल, आधार कार्ड और बैंक पासबुक तैयार रखें। ग्राम सभा/ग्राम परिषद के माध्यम से कार्यों की पहचान की जाती है।

Eligible applicants & bodies
- ✓ Resident of a village within 50 km of the international border in Ladakh
- ✓ For employment component: local youth between ages 18–40 residing in border villages
- ✓ Village must be in the approved BADP village list for the current year
- ✓ Works are selected by Gram Sabha / Village Councils with LAHDC approval

Application process
- 1Go to the scheme's official portal, lahdc.nic.in
- 2Start a new registration with your mobile number and confirm the OTP
- 3Work through each section of the form, matching entries to your documents
- 4Attach the requested paperwork (Residence proof from border village (ration card / voter ID), Domicile certificate of Ladakh UT, Aadhaar card)
- 5Verify the preview screen, submit, and write down the acknowledgement ID
- 6Return to the portal later to follow the verification stages
