What is PM MITRA Textile Parks?
Pradhan Mantri Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) is a flagship scheme to develop 7 mega textile parks across India with a total outlay of ₹4,445 crore (2021–2028). The 7 parks are located in: Virudhunagar (Tamil Nadu), Warangal (Telangana), Navsari (Gujarat), Kalaburagi (Karnataka), Dhar (Madhya Pradesh), Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), and Amravati (Maharashtra). Each park has world-class plug-and-play infrastructure for spinning, weaving, processing, dyeing, printing, and garment manufacturing in one location. PM MITRA aims to create 20 lakh direct and 70 lakh indirect jobs, attract Rs 70,000 crore in investment, and boost textile exports.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive Plug-and-play textile infrastructure + Rs 300 crore Capital Investment Subsidy per Greenfield park + Performance-linked incentives for unit setup — direct and indirect jobs for 90 lakh workers. The scheme was launched in 2021 and is implemented by the Government of India.
