What is Mission Karmayogi?

Mission Karmayogi — formally the National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building (NPCSCB) — was approved by the Cabinet in September 2020 to comprehensively reform Indian civil services training and capacity building. The mission targets all 4.6+ million central government employees with role-based, competency-driven, citizen-centric capacity building. The iGOT Karmayogi (Integrated Government Online Training) digital platform offers thousands of online courses for civil servants. Five core principles: (1) Rule-based to Role-based; (2) Behavioural + Functional + Domain competencies; (3) Anytime-anywhere learning; (4) On-demand training; (5) Vocation-based individualised pathway. The Karmayogi Bharat SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle) operates the platform. The Capacity Building Commission (CBC) provides strategic oversight.
