About this student scheme
Once an SC or ST student from Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu clears Class 10, this post-matric scholarship takes over the cost of studying further — the Social Welfare Department of the UT reimburses the entire tuition fee and pays a maintenance allowance of ₹500–₹1,000 every month on top. Courses covered run from Class 11 and diploma programmes all the way up to PhD. The one financial condition is that the family's annual income stays below ₹2.5 lakh. Students who hold UT domicile file their application online on the National Scholarships Portal (scholarships.gov.in).

Which students qualify
- ✓ Student must belong to the SC or ST category and hold domicile of DNH & DD UT
- ✓ Current enrolment in a post-matric course — Class 11, diploma, degree, post-graduation, or doctoral (PhD) study
- ✓ Annual income of the family capped at ₹2.5 lakh
- ✓ Both an Aadhaar card and a bank account seeded with Aadhaar are compulsory for the DBT payout
- ✓ The student must not be drawing another full government scholarship during the same year
