About this scheme
PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana 2026 — ₹6,000/Year to 11 Crore Farmers
✅ ₹6,000/year directly to bank account in 3 installments of ₹2,000
Full Scheme Details →Every PM Kisan installment cycle produces the same pattern: the money reaches most beneficiaries within a few days of release, and then a large minority spends weeks wondering why their neighbour was paid and they were not. If you are waiting for the 21st installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, the useful thing to understand is that a missing payment is almost never a decision about you. It is a data mismatch, and it sits in one of four places.
This guide is deliberately not an "apply for PM Kisan" article — you are already registered. It walks through how to read your own beneficiary record, identify which of the four blockers is holding your ₹2,000, and clear it. For the scheme rules themselves, see our full PM Kisan Samman Nidhi page.
First: read your own record before you do anything else
Do not start by filing a complaint. Start by finding out what the database thinks about you, because the fix depends entirely on which field is wrong.
- Open pmkisan.gov.in and go to Farmers Corner.
- Click Know Your Status. Enter your registration number and the captcha. If you do not remember the registration number, use Know Your Registration Number first with your Aadhaar or mobile number.
- The status screen shows a set of flags — the ones that matter are eKYC status, Land Seeding status, Aadhaar Bank Account Seeding status, and the installment history.
- Note down which of those says No, Pending or Rejected. That single word is your actual problem.
The four blockers, and what each one actually means
| What the portal shows | What it really means | Where you fix it |
|---|---|---|
| eKYC: No / Pending | Your identity has not been re-verified for the current cycle. This is the single most common reason an installment is skipped. | OTP-based eKYC on pmkisan.gov.in, or biometric eKYC at any CSC |
| Land Seeding: No | Your land record has not been matched to your registration in the state revenue database. Very common after inheritance, mutation or a plot sale. | Tehsil / Patwari office with your khatauni or 7/12 extract |
| Aadhaar name mismatch | The spelling on Aadhaar does not match the spelling in the PM Kisan record or the bank account. Even an initial or a middle name causes rejection. | Correct via Farmers Corner, or update Aadhaar at an enrolment centre |
| Payment shows "FTO generated" but no credit | The transfer was attempted and bounced — usually an account that is dormant, closed, or not NPCI-mapped to Aadhaar. | Your bank branch — ask for Aadhaar seeding and NPCI mapping |
Clearing eKYC yourself, in about three minutes
If eKYC is your blocker and your mobile number is the one linked to your Aadhaar, you do not need to go anywhere:
- 1. On pmkisan.gov.in, click eKYC under Farmers Corner.
- 2. Enter your Aadhaar number and the captcha, then click Search.
- 3. An OTP goes to the mobile number registered with Aadhaar — not necessarily the one you gave PM Kisan. Enter it and submit.
- 4. The screen should confirm eKYC success. Re-check Know Your Status after a day; the flag should flip to Yes.
Land seeding: the blocker people ignore for years
Land seeding failures are the ones farmers most often leave unresolved, because the portal message is vague and the fix is offline. If your land record was mutated after your PM Kisan registration — a father passing land to sons, a plot sold, or a correction to the khasra number — the two records no longer agree, and the installment stops.
Take your khatauni / 7-12 extract / ROR, your Aadhaar and your PM Kisan registration number to the Patwari, Talathi or Tehsil office and ask specifically for PM Kisan land seeding to be completed against your registration. Ask for an acknowledgement. This is the one blocker where a follow-up visit after two weeks is usually necessary.
When to escalate, and where
Escalate only after you have fixed the underlying flag and waited one full installment cycle. Complaining while eKYC is still marked No simply produces a reply telling you to complete eKYC.
- PM Kisan helpline: 155261 or 011-24300606
- Email: [email protected] — include your registration number, Aadhaar last four digits, district and the exact portal message
- Your district Agriculture Officer is the fastest route for land-seeding disputes
- Central grievance portal: pgportal.gov.in if the district level does not respond
Questions farmers actually ask
Q: If I missed an earlier installment, do I get it later as arrears?
Sometimes, but not automatically and not always. If the reason for the skip was a data problem that you have since fixed, the pending installment is often released along with a later cycle once your record is clean. If you were found ineligible — for instance because you are an income-tax payer or the land is not in your name — the skipped amount is not paid, and any amount already received may be recovered. Fixing the record early is what protects the arrears.
Q: My name shows in the beneficiary list but no money came. Is that normal?
Yes, and it is the most misread situation on the portal. Appearing in the beneficiary list means you are registered, not that a payment succeeded. Check the installment history and the Aadhaar bank seeding flag. If it says the FTO was generated but nothing reached you, the transfer bounced at the bank — go to your branch and ask for Aadhaar seeding and NPCI mapping on that account.
Q: Can two people in one family both receive PM Kisan?
No. The benefit is per landholding family, defined as husband, wife and minor children. If two adults in the same family are both drawing it, one registration will eventually be flagged and the excess recovered. An adult son with land recorded separately in his own name is a distinct family for this purpose.
Q: Does anyone need to be paid to release a stuck installment?
No. Every step above is free except the standard fixed CSC charge for biometric eKYC. Nobody at a bank, tehsil or agriculture office can accelerate a payment for a fee, and anyone claiming otherwise is running a scam. Report demands for money to the helpline on 155261.
While your record is being corrected, it is worth checking whether you are also eligible for the pension scheme that piggybacks on PM Kisan registration — see PM Kisan Samman Nidhi and browse other agriculture schemes.
सबसे पहले pmkisan.gov.in पर Know Your Status देखें और पता करें कौन सा फ्लैग "No" दिखा रहा है — उसी के हिसाब से समाधान करें।
