What is Delhi Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana?
Delhi Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana is the revamped version of the Delhi Ladli Scheme launched effective 1 April 2026 by the Delhi Government. The scheme deposits ₹61,000 in staged installments from birth to graduation in the girl's account, which grows to ₹1.20–₹1.25 lakh at maturity (age 21) with interest. Installments: ₹11,000 at birth + ₹5,000 each at Class 1, 6, 9, after passing Class 10, and Class 12 admission + ₹20,000 on completing diploma/graduation. Maximum 2 girls per family eligible. Annual family income limit: Rs 1.20 lakh. Girl must remain unmarried until age 18 to receive full benefit. Parents must apply within 1 year of birth (or 90 days of admission at each educational stage).
