What is Arunachal Weaver Handloom Scheme?

Arunachal Pradesh Handloom Development Scheme supports Adi, Apatani, Nyishi, Monpa, and other APST tribal weavers with free frame looms, 50% yarn subsidy, design training, and market linkage through state emporiums and national craft fairs. Both PRC (Permanent Residence Certificate) and APST certificate are mandatory. Priority is given to women tribal weavers and SHG-based weaving groups. The scheme also supports GI (Geographical Indication) tagging for Arunachal traditional textiles.

Arunachal Weaver Handloom Scheme Eligibility

Active APST tribal weaver (PRC + APST certificate mandatory), practicing traditional Arunachal weaving, annual family income below ₹2.5 lakh. Priority to women weavers and SHG-based groups.

How to Apply for Arunachal Weaver Handloom Scheme?

Visit District Handloom and Handicrafts Development Office. Submit Aadhaar, PRC, APST certificate, income certificate, and bank passbook. Ask about weaver registration and identity card enrollment. Women SHG weavers can also apply through BDO / DAY-NRLM office.
