PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana (PM-KMY) is a voluntary pension scheme for small and marginal farmers who cultivate up to 2 hectares of land. The government matches every rupee you contribute, ensuring a guaranteed ₹3,000/month pension after age 60 — for life.

How the Pension Works

• Farmers aged 18–40 contribute a small monthly amount
• Government matches your contribution equally
• After age 60: ₹3,000/month guaranteed pension via DBT
• If farmer dies: spouse gets ₹1,500/month family pension
• If exit before 60 (after 10 years): get back your contribution + interest

Eligibility

• Small/marginal farmer with up to 2 hectares land
• Age 18 to 40 years at enrolment
• Land in state records
• Not covered under NPS, EPFO, or ESIC
• Not an income tax payer

How to Register — maandhan.in / CSC

1. Visit nearest Common Service Centre (CSC / Jan Seva Kendra)
2. Bring: Aadhaar card, land records (Khasra-Khatauni), bank passbook
3. CSC operator will register you on maandhan.in
4. Choose your monthly contribution based on age
5. Pension Card issued on the spot
6. At age 60: ₹3,000/month credited via DBT to bank account
