Common Application Rejection Reasons
- Land title not in applicant's own name. Jharkhand has extensive tribal land under CNT Act (Chota Nagpur Tenancy Act) restrictions — the plot must be legally transferred to the applicant, not held by an extended family member. Get the land record updated FIRST.
- SECC 2011 database mismatch. Abua Awas explicitly serves gap households, but the initial screening uses the SECC. If the family's SECC entry marks the household as having a pucca house from an earlier year (even if that house has since collapsed), the auto-screen rejects. File an Awaas+ 2018 correction with the district PMAY-G nodal officer.
- Aadhaar-bank account not linked at application time. Even if approved, tranches will not disburse until this is fixed.
